Professional Artist & Published Writer
Sandra Lethem Yeo

Texas Artist and Poet, Sandra Lethem Yeo, lives in Dallas with her husband, Vernon, and their rescued greyhounds, Jenny and Abba.

"I'm often asked which I enjoy more, painting or writing and the question is hard to answer.  The two crafts are symbiotic, like the wind and string instruments in an orchestra, both are vital to the whole.  I believe we are all innately creative beings but some where along the way, someone told us we had to color within the lines and from that day forward, we doubt whether we were creative.  Maybe just for today, you could grab a pen and paper, or a brush and a little paint, and see what happens when the desire to create in you shouts louder than your list of things 'to do'."

Ms. Yeo attended the Kansas City Art Institute. Her paintings are shown in galleries in Dallas and Kansas City, and have been selected to appear in numerous juried shows.  In Ms. Yeo's paintings, the viewer will find both the artist and the writer; her original work energetically recounts the places, people, and emotions that stir her imagination.

Ms. Yeo's 2011 Exhibitions include: Governors State University's National Juried Art Competition, "Brainstorm 2011", May 21st - June 25th, University Park, IL.  The 9th Annual Blanche Ames National Juried Art Exhibition, October 18th - November 5th, North Easton, MA.  The Art Reach Gallery's Juried Exhibition, "The Halls Are Alive", September 18th - November 28th, Dallas, TX.  In March 2012, Ms. Yeo's work will hang in a one-man show at the Horizon Unitarian Universalist Church in Carrollton, TX.
