A little about me

I’ve been writing and painting nearly all my life.  When I was a child, all my friends took piano or dance lessons, but I came from a family of artists, poets and writers.  I always kept journals filled with drawings and poems.  Putting ideas and thoughts into visual form is my way of expressing who I am and what I think life is about. I never doubted I wanted to be an artist and writer.

Most of my adult life I’ve worked in Marketing, Advertising and Public Relations – fields that allowed me to use both my writing and artistic skills.  It’s only been in the past few years that I’ve been able to devote full time to my painting and writing.

The fascinating thing about artistic expression, whether it’s creating a painting or writing an essay, is that you and the work are constantly growing.  The two mediums are simpatico; words and paint are both used to create vivid images that draw the viewer, or reader, into an unfolding story.
